Sanitation Tech I/II’s are responsible for the Sanitation of the Monoblock Fillers on RSW Production Lines. The Tech position is a skilled operator position that requires advanced machine operators’ skills as well as deep understanding of the Sanitation process’s that are in place in order to ensure a clean, safe product is bottled every day. 

The Sanitation Tech position is responsible for ensuring that all wine contact processing equipment is kept free of possible contaminants such as foreign objects and microorganisms. The Sanitation Tech will use chemical and mechanical process to successfully complete the Clean In Place process’s on the Fillers used in the Bottling Department. Completes all assigned tasks with a sense of urgency to ensure production starts on time but with the understanding that our CIP process is to be completed in its entirety to ensure food safety standards are met. Responsible for recording daily Sanitation results. Responsible for operating Bottling equipment during production hours to relieve employees for breaks and lunches.

• Complies with Ray's Station Winery's GMP, Safety, SSOP, and Quality guidelines.
• Perform CIP process’s on Monoblock Fillers per RSW SSOP’s.
• Performs startups on Production lines. Ensures quality guidelines for product integrity are met before release bottling lines into production.
• Safely uses all chemicals and chemical distribution equipment used in the RSW Sanitation Department
• Responsible for training Tech 1’s advancing into the Tech 2 position.
• Able to complete all audit documents related to the Tech 2 position.
• Responsible for Cuno and Pre-filter Skid management.
• Proficient in the following bottling roles at the level of operator to assist production with breaks and lunches.
• Operation of the Filler during production hours at the skill level of operator
  • Able to trouble shoot Low Fills, Timing issues, Missing Closures
  • Ability to perform a shut down
• Operation of the Labeler during production hours at the level of operator
  • Able to trouble shoot and make adjustments on label placement

• Must be qualified in the Sanitation Tech 1 position OR have a minimum of 2 years of experience operating food processing or packaging equipment.
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Must be able to read and write in English to adequately complete Sanitation documents used in our auditing process.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including with the main shift assignment being graveyard.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 years of Sanitation experience in a food processing or packaging facility or 3 years of operating Bottling equipment.
• Knowledge of Food Safety Standards and how they apply to a Bottling Facility.
